Mr. Shamsideen Omotayo, Clerk of the House, Ikeja Local Government Area, of Lagos State has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

He was kidnapped at Imota area of Ikorodu, Lagos State on Wednesday.

The men, it was gathered, laid ambush for Omotayo who was on his way to the office.

Already, the kidnappers were said to have got in contact with the local government, demanding for a ransom of N20 million before he could be released.

The chairman of IKeja local government area, Engr. Mojeed Balogun, who confirmed the kidnap to newsmen said efforts were being made to ensure his release.
