Dayo Adewole, the abducted son of the immediate past Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewale, has regained his freedom.
He was released on Wednesday evening, barely 24 hours after he was kidnapped.
Recall that Dayo was taken away on Tuesday at about 5.30 pm by four gunmen from his farm at Iroko, Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.
His release was confirmed by the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Shina Olukolu, on Wednesday evening in Ibadan.
Olukolu said that the information he got was that the victim had regained freedom and had been reunited with his family.

Meanwhile, the former minister, Prof Isaac Adewole, who was out of the country when his son was kidnapped and had to cut his trip short, in his reaction to the kidnap saga, thanked God for the safe release of his son by his abductors.
In a statement personally signed him, Adewole also thanked President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, security agencies, traditional rulers as well as Nigerians who stood by the family during the travail.
Recall that the police on Wednesday arrested three members of the kidnapped victim’s staff, including his newly employed driver, his farm manager and another farm worker.
Recall also that a team of security operatives led by the Assistant Inspector General of Police zone 11, AIG Leye Oyebade, the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Shina Olukolu and the Garrison Commander, 2 Div Nigerian Army, Brig.Gen. O.O Soleye also, on Wednesday, visited the farm from where the ex-minister’s son was abducted and assured the victim would be rescued.
As at press time, it could not be confirmed whether any ransom was paid for the release of the victim.
