FC Internazionale Milano is back on top of the Italian league after thrashing Chievo 5-0 at the San Siro.
Napoli’s loss to Juventus on Friday and Inter Milan’s victory yesterday sees them overtake Napoli as number one on the table.
Inter are currently on 39 points, while Napoli and Juventus are on 38 and 37 points respectively.
The last time Inter Milan was on top of the Seria A table was in 2015/2016 season with Roberto Mancini as coach.
Unfortunately, they didn’t make top three that season which was required to make it into the UEFA Champions League.
The difference this season is that they are playing like champions.

Inter Milan, Barcelona and Manchester City are the only clubs in Europe that have not lost a game this season.
That is a good company to be in.
Like Chelsea in the English Premier League last season, Inter Milan is not in UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League.
This is an advantage for a club like Inter with top players.
Last summer, Manchester United did almost everything possible to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter but it did not work out because Inter were not willing to lose one of their best players.
Holding on to Perisic has paid off as he has been in top form, helping his club back to the top with a hat-trick against Chievo on Sunday night.
Another player that many clubs in Europe, especially Real Madrid are trying to lure away from the San Siro is Mauro Icardi.
Icardi is in the form of his life.
He is the second highest goal scorer in Seri A.
It would be almost impossible for the club to allow their best player leave in January.
