The chances of the Super Eagles of Nigeria brightened in the battle for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday as it defeated the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.
The match ended 4-0.
The match was played at the Godswill Akpabio Sadium, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
Three of the goals were scored by Odion Ighalo while the fourth was by Samuel Kalu.
The goals started coming barely a few minutes into the match when Mohamed Abdaula, Libyan goalkeeper, fouled Ighalo who was about to score.
A penalty was awarded and Ighalo made it the first goal.
Thirteen minutes into the second half of the match, Ighalo scored the second goal.

He made use of a pass from Alex Iwobi and dribbled past the goalkeeper.
23 minutes into the second half, it was Ighalo again.
He connected to a cross from Ahmed Musa and made it the third goal.
The fourth goal was by Samuel Kalu.
