No fewer than 55 people have been killed in Lau local government area of Taraba State, reports have it.
The attack that led to the death of the people started at the weekend, according to The Nation.
A mass burial was said to have been conducted for 25 victims of the attack on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, more bodies were discovered.

The media aide to Governor Darius Ishaku, Bala Abu, was said to have visited the affected area.
Security personnel were also said to have been deployed to the area.
The Nation quoted the governor of the state, Darius Ishaku, when contacted on telephone as saying: “Herdsmen are killing people in Lau, my state.”
It would be recalled that the spate of killings in Benue State, got to a head last week when herdsmen went on rampage.
The killings led to the order by President Muhammadu Buhari that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris should move to the area.
The move was to ensure that peace was restored and those found responsible for the crimes, brought to book.
