In the early hours of Tuesday, the Board of English Premier Club, Manchester United, issued a statement that the club’s coach, of two years + Jose Mourinho, has left.
To some the news of Mourinho’s sack came as a surprise while to others it has been long overdue.
Recall that Jose Mourinho signed for Manchester United in 2016 just a few months after he was sacked by Chelsea football club following a 3-1 defeat to Livepool.
Today, history seems to be repeating itself as Morinho is relieved of his coaching job following a 3-1 defeat of his club, Man Utd., by Liverpool.
The Next Edition brings you reactions of football fans on the development.

Patrice Evra @Evra: “The thing that is annoying me the most right nowis why are people so focused on @paulpogba and Jose Mourinjo. Let’s focus on rebuilding something solid instead of being in the playground. Doing this is only disrespecting the badge, from now on we need positivity.”
Ola: “Klopp defeats Madrid. Mou got sacked
Klopp defeats Chelsea. Mou got sacked
Klopp defeats Man u. Mou got sacked.
Klopp is Mourinho’s nightmare.”
Sesan Akindele: “Fair enough everything was getting too messy on and off pitch. Mourinho is a good coach bt needs to stop letting his controversial nature affect his players psyche negatively.
“Loosing is not the issue bt how the controversies are affecting the players game generally.”
Peter Ibeh, Youth Corper: “Jose Mourinho being sacked from Manchester United was the right thing for the board to do.
“This is almost the same thing that happened at Chelsea when Mourinho was the manager.
“No doubt that Mourinho is a good coach, probably one of the best coaches Manchester United has had, but I think football is changing and he isn’t changing or trying to adapt.
“If you watch United’s game you’ll see that Mourinho doesn’t have a pattern. It’s like the players just go to the pitch to kick the ball without any game plan or style of play. So I think it’s really good that United got rid of him. The only problem is I don’t know a good coach that is available right now to take over. All I can say right now is that I wish Michael Carrick good luck as he’s the current manager of the club.”
Pizza Hut Restaurants @pizzahutuk: “Hi @ManUtd, we’ve received a CV from Mr. J Mourinho.
“He’s just applied for a job as pizza chef. Please can you send through a reference.
“Thanks.”
Educhigo: “Manchester United don become members of sacking coaches, how i wish this kind revolution of sacking politician will enter Nigeria.”
Toyosi: “He’s due for that… cos he’s proud and he think he knows it all.”
Christopher Ogochukwu: “No no no!
This is the worst decision Man U could have made!
Mourhino is not the problem!
The players are!!! When you have strikers like lukaku who can barely pass the ball properly what do you expect? Pogba is good yes but he is overrated by far!! Man U needs a new makeover. They have to use the transfer window to their advantage!
Chelsea did the same thing and they are still where they are!!”
Damilare Quadri: “Good news but this doesn’t take away the fact that the likes of Jones, Smalling, Lukaku should not be wearing the Red Devil’s Jersey.”
Sodiq: “Thank God…Liverpool did a perfect job again, last time he was sacked after liverpool won chelsea 3-1. Liverpool beat man u 3-1 and he was sacked again. Liverpool is mourinho nemesis.”
