The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, May 29, as public holiday to celebrate the 2018 Democracy Day.
The Minister of Interior, Lt.-Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd) made the declaration on Friday according to a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr. M. Umar.

In the statement, Dambazau pledged government’s continued dedication to ensuring the reign of democracy in Nigeria.
He called on Nigerians to continue to give support to the government in building an indivisible, peaceful and greater nation based on the tenets of democracy.
