Lagos State Police Command said 25 of its stations were attacked and burnt by hoodlums who hijacked the peaceful #EndSARS protests in the state.
Following Tuesday’s shooting of protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate area of the state, hoodlums took advantage of the anger to loot and destroy public and private properties.
Police Station were targeted, not just in Lagos, but in other parts of the country.
Taking stock after the carnage, the state Police command disclosed that a total of 25 police stations were attacked and razed by hoodlums amid the protests.
According to the Command, these include: Orile, Amukoko, Layeni, Ilasamaja, Ikotun, Ajah, Igando, Elemoro, Makinde, Onipanu, Ebute Ero, Pen-Cinema, Isokoko, Alade, Cele, Igbo Elerin, Shibiri, Gbagada, Onilekere, Makoko, Daleko, Asahun, Makinyo, Amuwo-Odofin, Anti-Kidnapping, Surulere.
Other stations that were vandalised but not burnt included: Ojo, Ojodu, Mowo, PPL and Morogbo.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari said on Friday that 11 police officers lost their lives during the protests.
