Tesla founder, Elon Musk, has secretly welcomed a daughter with partner and singer, Grimes.
The 33-year old singer revealed this in an interview with Vanity Fair in a cover story for the magazine’s April 2022 issue.
She told Vanity Fair that they welcomed their daughter via surrogacy in December 2021.
According to Vanity Fair, the couple named their daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, though they’ve nicknamed her Y.

“Exa refers to a supercomputing term, exaFLOPS, while Dark represents “the unknown. People fear it but truly it’s the absence of photons. Dark matter is the beautiful mystery of our universe,” Grimes explains.
Sideræl, the third part of Y’s full name pronounced “sigh-deer-ee-el,” is “a more elven” spelling of sidereal. She defined it as “the true time of the universe, star time, deep space time, not our relative earth time.”
This would be their second child together, their first, a son named X Æ A-12 and have plans to have more kids.
Although they split up in September 2021 after dating for three years, Grimes has confirmed that she and Musk are back together.
She said, “There’s no real word for it. I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time….We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.”
