Election: Lagos NUJ inaugurates credentials committee

The Lagos Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)on Saturday inaugurated a five-member credentials committee to conduct the council’s 2017 elections to hold in September.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the committee is headed by Mr Jibola Ojesola of the Lagos Television, while Messrs Biodun Ajala, Ayo Ojedokun, Wale Akodu and Mrs Gladys Omamogho are members.

The Chairman of the council, Mr Deji Elumoye, while inaugurating the committee, urged the members to discharge their duties diligently.

“Do not bend the rules,’’ he urged, adding that the committee should adhere strictly to the provisions of the NUJ constitution.

He said that all the committee members were qualified to serve.
