Real Madrid has confirmed the signing of Eden Hazard from the Premier League side Chelsea FC.
The Spanish club giant made the announcement on their social media handles.
The deal is said to span five years. He remains linked to the club during the next five seasons, until June 30, 2024, according to Club officials.
Recall last week, Hazard helped Chelsea to win the Europa League championship trophy.
Chelsea FC has, however, confirmed the transfer on their official twitter handle.
According to Chelsea via Twitter, “We have reached an agreement for the transfer of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid. We would like to wish Eden well as we say a fond goodbye. #ThankYouEden.”
The deal is said to be worth up to £130 million, both clubs have announced.
In his reaction via his official Facebook page, Hazard said, “To all of my ex-Colleagues, we will say our goodbyes at the right time but I must thank the owner Mr. Abramovich and his board for helping me realise not one, but two dreams, my first in becoming a Chelsea player and today my second, becoming a player at Real Madrid.
I wish each and every one of you the very best my friends.”
Eden Hazard joined Chelsea in 2012 from Lille. Interestingly, he is leaving Chelsea FC after 7 years, on the June 7 to go pick up Jersey no 7.
