A social activist, Mrs. Julie Okoh, who reported the case to the police, told the Next Edition that the incident took place last Saturday.

In a short audio clip she made available to journalists in Makurdi, the victim, (names withheld) narrated her ordeal.

“When I went to their shop to look for my sister, I asked him if he saw my sister but he said no. So I decided to go and look elsewhere.

“But when I got to the door, he draw me back. He is our neighbour so I told him I was not happy. He then carried me and covered my mouth and put me on the table.
