An Abuja High Court sitting at Jabi has turned down the bail application by Maryam Sanda who allegedly stabbed his husband, Bilyamin Bello, to death last year.
Appearing in court on Monday, the alleged husband killer had pleaded for bail consideration claiming that she was carrying a three month old pregnancy.
She said granting her bail would enable her get the necessary care she needed in view of her condition.
The case was made on her behalf by her lawyer, Joseph Daudu.
Judgement over the application was however deferred till Wednesday.
It would be recalled that “pregnancy” is the second excuse canvassed to get a bail in the case.
Earlier, Maryam Sanda had pleaded for bail to enable her take care of the six months old baby she was nursing when the incident happened.
However, delivering judgement on her latest application which borders on her alleged pregnancy, the judge said it lacked merit.
Justice Yusuf Halilu therefore struck out the application.
