Findings by our correspondent revealed that the robbers shot into the air as they went away.

It was also gathered that one of the targets of the robbers was a bullion van which was to deliver money in one of the banks in the Abak area.

The robbery is coming exactly the day a new police commissioner, Zubair Muazu, assumed duty in the state.

He had, earlier in the day, warned criminals in the state to vacate or face the full wrath of the law.
