No fewer than 15 lawmakers defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the leading opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party on Tuesday.
The defection notice was read at the plenary by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The senators are Dino Melaye; Barnabas Gemade; Ibrahim Danbaba; Shaaba Lafiaji; Mohammed Shitu; Rafiu Ibrahim and Suleiman Hunkuyi.
Others are Isa Misau; Monsurat Sunmonu; Soji Akanbi; Usman Nafada; Musa Kwankwaso; Suleiman Nazif; Lanre Tejuosho and Senator Abdulazaz Nyako.
