The Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Mr Titus Uba and his son have recovered from the Coronavirus disease.
Mr. Titus Uba and his son had on July 19, 2020, tested positive for coronavirus after the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), took their samples for testing at the Molecular Laboratory, Abuja.
Father and son, have however, been given a clean bill of health and certified free of the virus after undergoing prescribed and specified medical treatment.
Mr. Uba, representing Kyan state constituency, thanked God for seeing him and his son through the very difficult time of isolation and also commended his colleagues at the Ninth Assembly for conducting the affairs of the House efficiently and effectively in his absence.
In a press statement signed by the press secretary to the Speaker, Mr Lubem Tiav and made available to newsmen, Mr Uba also appreciated family members, friends and well wishers for their show of concern and prayers for their recovery.

He also prayed God to respond in the affirmative to the recovery of those still in isolation and treatment Centers both in Benue and elsewhere in the country.
The Speaker enjoined the Benue Community to adhere to non pharmaceutical measures as already established by Medical personnel and Government’s directives at checkmating any possible spike in communities.
He also advised school proprietors and parents to collaborate with Government as schools resume in efforts aimed at halting the spread of the virus by providing needed facilities.
He applauded the Government of Samuel Ortom for ensuring that the poorest of the poor in the 23 Local Governments of the State receive palliatives to cushion the harsh effects brought about by the virus.
Mr Uba encouraged Members of the Ninth Assembly to sustain and continue with efforts at creating awareness and enlightenment about COVID 19 in their various constituencies.
