The 138 suspected members of the deadly cult group, Badoo, arrested by the Police on Saturday are currently undergoing screening.
The spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, made this known.
The screening, according to him, was to identify those who were indeed involved in the criminal activities in Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
“We carried out the raid based on information and 138 suspects were arrested.
“Screening is ongoing and those with no tangible explanation will be charged to court,” Famous-Cole said.
On Saturday, the police, with the assistance of Odua People’s Congress stormed the hideouts of the suspected Badoo members arresting 138 of them.
The group had been alleged to be behind the series of killings in Ikorodu area in recent time.
Helpless in their situation, residents had resorted to jungle justice, lynching suspected members of the group before the police came in.
