The Nigerian Army has declared two factional leaders of Boko Haram terrorists, Abubakar Shekau and Maman Al-Barnawi, and 84 other Boko Haram terrorists wanted.
The Commandant, Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj. Gen. Farouk Yahaya, declared them wanted during the indoctrination of members of the civilian joint task force into the operations of Operation Lafiya Dole in Maiduguri on Wednesday.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Buratai, while inaugurating the team, explained that the CJTF was drafted into the counter insurgency fight due to their superior knowledge of the terrain.

“Identifying the enclaves of the terrorists as they move from one location to another is useful. The counter insurgency fight should not be left to the military alone,” he stated.
Also speaking at the event, Governor, Babagana Zulum of Borno State, called on Boko Haram terrorists to drop their weapons and embrace the peace process being initiated by the government.
