APC expels Abdulmumin Jibrin

Former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has been expelled by the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Jibrin was expelled by the APC chapter of Bebeji local government area of Kano State for alleged anti-party activities.

Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, the chairman of the party in the local government, Sani Ranka, said Jibrin was involved in “divisive tendencies.”

He said the expulsion of Jibrin was to state clearly that the party would not tolerate any act of indiscipline.

His words:  “APC will not condone indiscipline and disrespect to leaders or duly constituted authority. We hereby inform the world that Jibrin has been expelled from our great party.”

It would be recalled that Jibrin who was suspended by the House following the recommendation of the Ethics and Privileges Committee.

He was probed for misconduct, having alleged  that the Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, and some principal officers of the House padded the 2016 budget.

He also alleged that some members of the House were not worthy of being representatives of their people.
