The Mike Adenuga Foundation (MAF), set up by business mogul, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., has donated the sum of N1.5 billion to government in support of the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
One billion of the money will go to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) which is coordinating efforts to raise funds from corporate bodies to support the fight against COVID-19 in Nigeria, while N500 million will go to the Lagos State Government, which has recorded the highest number of the cases.
In addition to the financial contributions, the Foundation also said it would continue its on-going efforts to assist various bodies and institutions in the country with the supply of such essential items as Sanitizers, Masks, Test Kits, Personal Prospective Equipment (PPEs), Respirators and other necessary requirements to combat the pandemic.

The Foundation advised Nigerians to take measures to ensure their safety in line with the guidelines provided by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the World Health Organisation (WHO). These include regular hand washing and use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, limiting non-essential travel and ensuring timely medical checkups.
Meanwhile, the Executive Vice Chairman of Globacom, Mrs. Bella Disu, presented the cheque of N500 million to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in Lagos on Monday, while a representative of the Foundation presented the cheque for N1 billion to the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele in Abuja.
