The Ogun Government said 28 people, who had contact with the Italian Coronavirus patient had been identified and quarantined.
This was made known by Gov. Dapo Abiodun, at a press conference on Friday evening.
He said the 28 people would be quarantined for the next 14 days while the state government continues with line listing of people who had contact with the 28 people.
Recall that the Lagos State Government had in the early hour of Friday announced that it had confirmed the first case of the virus in an Italian businessman who came into the country on February 25.
It was later discovered that the man had visited Lafarge Africa, a Cement manufacturing company in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.
At the briefing, Abiodun said the company had also been shut down, just as two isolation centres had been put in place within the premises.

He disclosed that part of the measures put in place to contain the virus was the establishment of a Disease Surveillance Centre in all the 20 local government areas of the state.
The Governor also disclosed that the state has upgraded of the isolation unit at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, to a containment facility centre.
“We are working with Lagos state alongside the Federal Ministry of Health (FMH) to upgrade the facility.
“We thank the National Centre for Disease Control for paying utmost attention to our state since the case was reported.
“Also, officials of the FMH are already on ground in the state,” he said.
He added that the state government had distributed items such as gloves and masks to all health facilities in the state for protection of health workers.
Furthermore, he said the government was sharing an application with health officers to help them in identifying infected persons, saying government would deploy a lot of resources to fight the virus.
