The Senate on Tuesday directed the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami to appear before it.
The summons is connection with the Process and Industrial Development, P&ID, Limited $9.6billion judgment against Nigeria.
Members of the Red chamber led by Senator Ahmad Lawan summoned the duo alongside other relevant government agencies after a closed-door session on Tuesday.
The Next Edition gathered that upper chamber wants the government officials to brief it on the details of the Gas contract to the Process and Industrial Development (P&ID) Limited and the $9.6billion penalty awarded against Nigeria.
The judgment resulted from deal agreement, to build a gas processing plant in Calabar in 2010, which collapsed because Nigeria did not meet its end of the bargain.
