Senators Shehu Sani and Suleiman Hunkuyi from Kaduna State, on Monday, lodged a complaint against Governor Nasir El-Rufai with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Oyegun.
Mr. Sani, representing Kaduna Central and his colleague, Mr. Hankuyi, representing Kaduna North in the Senate, were accompanied to the meeting with their supporters.
Speaking with journalists shortly after having a closed-door meeting with APC chairman, Mr. Sani complained that the local government delegates election in the state did not hold.
Instead of holding an election as prescribed by the party’s constitution, he said the list of the delegates were doctored.
The senator who has fiercely criticised Mr. El-Rufai during the past months said unless urgent steps were taken, the APC may collapse just like the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He also said the party was under siege in Kaduna and urged the national leadership to intervene before the situation spiral out of control.
Said Mr. Sani, “They sat down in the palace of their gods to write names and send it down here for us to accept; that can never happen.”
“This was the seed of the destruction of the PDP, where individuals considered themselves as gods and any other person a slave; that will never happen in Kaduna state.
“We are here to present our case and to appeal to the instrument of the leadership of this party to intervene in the Kaduna issue before it becomes too late.
“We are here to also state it to the party´s national leadership that we are under siege in Kaduna. The use of thugs and violence by agents and close associates of the state government is one thing we cannot tolerate.” Mr. Sani said.

Mr. Sani condemned the Sunday’s invasion of the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Kaduna by suspected thugs, who also injured reporters who were at the venue for a briefing.
He alleged that the hoodlums who attacked the journalists had the backing of the police and called for an investigation of the matter.
He maintained that there was a need for the party to provide the vehicle for real change and advised members to change the way they played politics.
Mr. Sani stressed that those who resolved to the use of violence or thugs to liquidate perceived political opponent were on the wrong side of history.
He, however, noted that his faction of the APC in the state was peaceful and law abiding.
“We came here to let the leadership of the party know that the God that brought the APC to power was still alive and will always listen to the cries of the oppressed and marginalized,” Mr. Sani said.
“We are here in the spirit of that, and we hope that we will get the cooperation of the national party´s leadership to come to the rescue of the party in Kaduna before it is too late.”
