Embattled pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, Abiodun Fatoyinbo has announced the cancelation of the church’s yearly special programme “Seven Days of Glory”, which had been scheduled to hold from July 1-7, 2019.
According to a Channels TV report, Fatoyinbo, informed members of the cancelation on Sunday during church service.
According to him, the cancellation followed consultation with his spiritual leaders and church elders who asked him not to put the special guests through the risk of protests amid allegations of rape against him.
For the special programme COZA7DG, international pastors usually attended, and this year, Pastors John Hannah, Korede Komaiya and Prophet Gideon Danso had been billed to attend.
Fatoyinbo expressed sadness at the recent developments involving him, which has affected the church.
Recall that Busola Dakolo, photographer and wife of musician Timi Dakolo had accused the Senior Pastor of COZA of raping her in an interview with Y!Naija on Friday.
The revelation led to a protest by the #ChurchToo’ group early on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, the issue has continued to generate a lot of debate on the social media even as the man at the centre of it all has denied the rape allegations.
