Tuesday, November 20 has been declared as Public Holiday to mark the Eid-el Maulud.
A statement by the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), disclosed this on Friday in Abuja.
The statement was signed by Dr. Mohammed Umar, Permanent Secretary in the ministry.

The Minister urged Muslim faithful to follow the teachings of the prophet which border on piety, charity, tolerance, peaceful co-existence, among others.
He also called on all Nigerians to uphold the same virtues with a view to overcoming the current national challenges facing the country.
Dambazau restated the Federal Government’s commitment to the unity of the country, noting that it would put adequate structures in place towards ensuring that the forthcoming general elections were credible, free and fair.
