Miss Anita Ukah, representing Imo State, has emerged as the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2018.
A Medical Laboratory Science graduate of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, Class of 2016, she beat 36 other girls to clinch the prestigious crown.
Ukah, 23, standing at six feet two inches tall was Miss Igbinedion University in 2014.
She will represent Nigeria at the Miss World 2018 pageant.
The colourful event held in Bayelsa State and was anchored by MC IK Osakidowa and media personality, Toke Makinwa.
The theme for this year’s edition was “Educate the Girl Child.”
The runners up are: Damilola Adeshina (Miss Kwara), fifth runner up; Tolulope Mary Ayanfaiu (Miss Ogun), fourth runner up; Valentina Ogbonaya (Miss Sokoto), third runner up and Miss ECOWAS 2018, Daniella Jatto (Miss Edo), second runner up.

Miss Tourism 2018, Aramide Oluwatobi Lopez (Miss Lagos) was first runner up and Miss Universe.

Best Traditional Attire – Daniella Jatto (Miss Edo)
Miss Charismatic – Chiamka Ogechukwi (Miss Oyo)
MBGN Model – Obianuju Ononuju
Fast track winner – Damilola Adeshina (Miss Kwara)
Miss Amity – Betty Harris (Miss Rivers)
Best Evening Wear – Meyaroghene Ariagbobe (Miss Plateau).
The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant has held every year since 1986.
Originally known as Miss Universe Nigeria, it was renamed Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria after Daily Times lost its license to send delegates from rival contest Miss Nigeria to Miss World and Miss Universe.
The pageant is organized by the Sliverbird Group.
37 girls representing all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory competed for the chance to be the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria and have the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the Miss World competition and other competitions.
