President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered security agencies to move into Zamfara State, particularly vulnerable areas, to ensure security of lives and property.
The order is against the backdrop of the killings carried out in Birane Village of Zamfara State where no fewer than 36 people were killed and several others injured.
The president also ordered the Minister of Defence, Brigadier-General Mansur Dan Ali (Rtd), to visit the state immediately to undertake an on-the-spot assessment of the situation and report back.
