Former international footballer, George Weah has been declared the winner of the run off election for the post of the president of Liberia.
With the victory, Weah will be the 25th president of the West African country.
Weah defeated Vice President Joseph Boakai winning in 13 out of the 15 counties.
Weah is 51 while his opponent is 73 years old.

Weah will succeed Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who is stepping down after 12 years as Africa’s first elected female president.
The run off election was conducted on Tuesday.
A peaceful election, collation and counting of votes followed immediately.
It would be recalled that the run off was delayed for seven weeks due to legal challenges over the conduct of the first round of voting.
