20th NSF: Franchise, Joeboy, Teni Lined Up For Closing Ceremony

Three Nigeria A-Class artistes, Franchise, Joeboy and Teni, have been lined up to be part of the closing ceremony of the 20th National Sports Festival (NSF) on Wednesday in Benin.

Musa Ebomhiana, Project Manager, Media and Communications Sub-Committee of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the NSF tagged “Edo 2020”, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

Ebomhiana noted that the programme for the winding up of the festival which started on April 2, was released by the Consultant on the festival’s Ceremonial, Henry Nzekwe.

He stated that the ceremony which would last for just three hours, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., would be graced by c.

Ebomhiana said the only sports events slated for the day was the relay race, mixed relay, 4 x 100 metres and 4 x 400m for men and women.

“There will be a parade by athletes, short speeches by Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo and the Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare.

“The Edo Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, who is also the Chairman of the festival’s LOC, will present a short speech during the closing ceremony.

“The Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, is expected to declare the festival closed, after which the torch of unity which was lit at the start of the games will be extinguished,” he added.

The 20th NSF, after several postponements, finally got underway on April 2 with the official opening ceremony on April 6.(NAN)
