Ahead of his medical trip to London yesterday, President Muhammadu Buhari hosted Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.
The men had come to the Presidential Villa to bid the president farewell.
Confirming this on his twitter handle on Sunday in Abuja, the president said: “I received Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker Yakubu Dogara at home this evening ahead of my trip tonight.’’
The hosting of the vice president and others came shortly after the president had hosted the 82 Chibok girls released by the terrorists group, Boko Haram, in a swap deal with the federal government.
The Next Edition reported that the president had planned to leave for London earlier on Sunday, but had to wait to receive the Chibok girls.
In the statement emanating from the media office of the presidency and confirmed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, on Sundady, the president’s time of return would be determined by his physician.
The vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has been assigned to take charge of affairs at the Presidency.
